Brig (rtd) Dr. Prof. Iqbal Muhammad, with a distinguished background in army medicine, joined Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) in September 2017 as Professor Pathology and Consultant Histopathology and Cytopathology. His qualifications include an MBBS from Army Medical College Rawalpindi in December 1983 and a diploma in clinical pathology from Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute in 1989. Dr. Iqbal’s career highlights involve leadership roles in histopathology and laboratory services across various military hospitals. Notably, he served as Professor of Pathology and Head of multiple departments at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), Rawalpindi. Dr. Iqbal’s expertise extends to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, earning him prestigious awards such as the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his exceptional services in Pathology.
